Explore Hoi An, Ancient Town
Day and night, Hoi An Ancient Town has lots to show you. During the day you can find a ton of cafes and small shops while admiring the architecture as you walk down the strip, but we suggest you stay until after sunset because the true spectacle is at night. The whole town comes alive. Beautiful lanterns line the streets with light sculptures on the river and there is a certain excitement on the streets.
Tour The World’s Largest Cave, Hang Son Doon
The world’s largest cave is right here in Vietnam near the Laos border! It is so large that it could hold a modern-day skyscraper inside of its caverns, and has its own small jungle. The cave was found by a local man in 1991 so it’s a rather “new” discovery! They recently opened up the cave to the public for tours. This would be awesome to see!

Pay Your Respects at the war remnants museum
Located in Ho Chi Minh Cit The war remnants museum is an intense learning experience for sure with a ton of graphic images, narrations, and remnants from wartime (including Agent Orange). An interesting museum dedicated to the disaster of the Vietnam war.
Visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology
Located in Hanoi, this museum will give you a complete understanding of the Hmong tribe as well as other ethnic groups of Vietnam! This museum is a the only place where you can learn about the history and the different cultures throughout Vietnam. The gardens, houses, costumes and tools used by the different minority groups are truly fascinating.
Explore Phong Nha Caves
We highly recommend getting here first thing in the morning because nothing can replace the tranquility and the quietness of this place in the early hours. The approach by boat is already an enchantment with the view on the Karstic Mountains. When you get inside you will be amazed by the combination of underground river and rock cliffs formations.
Visit Muong Hoa Valley
Located in Hau Thao Commune just about 10km from Sapa, owning a cool fresh climate with diverse nuances, the emerald green Muong Hoa Valley features some of the most breathtakingly picturesque landscapes in Vietnam. The natural beauty combining with the creativity of the human working on the paddy fields has created an enchanting venue full of attractive romantic scenery.
Have a Spiritual Experience at the Po Nagar Cham Towers
These ancient towers are so well preserved and open to the public but with rules of course. No shorts, sleeveless tops, shoes or camera’s and there is a free robe to cover yourself in case you are not properly dressed! The towers were built between the 8th and 12th centuries and named after a local goddess that offer some great views of the harbor below. These impressive Cham towers are still actively used for worship by Cham, Chinese and Vietnamese Buddhists. Originally the complex had seven or eight towers, but only four remain, of which the 28m-high North Tower (Thap Chinh; AD 817), with a terraced pyramidal roof, vaulted interior masonry and vestibule, is the most magnificent.
Explore the Marble Mountains
The Marble Mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn) consist of five ‘mountains’ that are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth). It’s a religious and cultural site that gives you a peaceful sense. If you are courageous enough, climb up to the mountain top from the “Van Thong Cave.” This Cave is used to be under the sea so if you are careful enough, you might be able to see some weathered oyster shells on the stone.
Relax on An Bang Beach
Ahh, finally a beach! This hippie-vibe beach village attracts more and more people each year, with its laid-back restaurants, late-night bars, water sport activities and live music. This beautiful beach sports some stunning clear waters with lots of nice little bars along the waterfront. An Bang Beach became popular so quickly, that the area is not very built up at all, adding to its beach village feel.
